Help Staff and Consumers Measure Progress and Improve Outcomes

In Collaboration with Steve Wiland, Jim Svensson, and Jeff Capobianco of Washtenaw County’s Community Support and Treatment Services (CSTS) and the Washtenaw Community Health Organization (WCHO), Afia has helped develop a basic understanding of how to integrate Performance Data Dashboards into an organization’s EHR.

The presentation clarifies what a “performance data dashboard” is and how it can be used to support clinical, supervisory and administrative services. Particular focus is paid to the development and integration of dashboards into the electronic clinical record and staff workflow to support evidence-based practice implementation and monitoring. Readers will be able to 1) Describe what a “Performance Data Dashboard” is and is not; 2) Identify the key metrics reported in a clinical, supervisory and/or administrative dashboard; and 3) Develop a data-driven approach to plan, collect, monitor and act upon key organizational indicators.
